Greetings!

Lost one of my Giardiniera 'Fiat' stamped chrome hubcaps!

Would anyone have a used one?

Doesn't have to be perfect but better than nothing!

I'm in Gloucestershire

Tip: Tyres

Just bought some new old stock 135x80x12 tyres from a retired tyre garage owner (London) who had them stored since 1983. The tyre shop said they were stored very well. Fiat runs a lot better!

He has a set of Marshal 771 135x80x12 (New Old Stock)

He wants to get rd of them so they are cheap!

PM me for his contact details..

Rubber degrades over time. I'm not sure I would fit tyres that old to any of my cars.

Well they look like new / no cracks, stored properly and for low mileage, town driving, they're fine for me.!

Sure your choice. And if they look ok then they must be fine, right?

But lets play "what if"

What if they failed, caused an accident. Would your insurance cover you when you have tyres on the car that are over 37 years old . . . .

What if, apart from causing damage, the accident caused harm to a person.

It's your choice and the 500 is hardly a sports car but tyres are one of the most important elements on any vehicle.

Well my insurance is well aware that the car is 45 years old. Not sure if it's their policy to insist on the year of a tyre!

But sure, if such an accident occurred, then if theydiscover this, then it's way out for them.

Anyway, I intend to have the car Mot'd and will ask the MOT guy if these tyres are safe.

When I bought the car, 2 of the tyres were worn and looked to be original.

But thanks for your concern and advice.

I think it's part of the MOT to look at dates on Tyres if the Tester is doing his job correctly.
The other thing with old Tyres is driving in the rain, slipping and slidding:eek:

Still looking for a FIAT Giardiniera chrome hubcap (not the bolt on ones but the ones that snap on).

Doesn't have to be perfect!

Maybe someone know of a 500 being dismantled!
