This is from Pirelli:

"Pirelli has recreated the Cinturato CN54 in 125 R 12 size, which was originally launched in 1972".

Wasn't that around the time when the Fiat 500F and 500L were discontinued, the N and D having gone long before that?

Nice tyres though.;)

The Cinturato CN54 is a tubeless tyre that you CAN safely run with a tube--which you must fit when the CN54 is fitted to 500 wheels.

I still can't work out what all the fuss is about...
Pirelli have stated (In writing) you can fit tubes in their Tubeless tyres...
Who would know more about tyres, tyre construction and safety then the manufacturer...
Insurance companies can accept or refuse any change from Manufacturers standard refuse or load premiums accordingly...
Even if you have informed then and they have accepted your premium they DO NOT HAVE TO PAY out if they deem that alteration to be a contributing factor to the clam... the Onus is on YOU the modifier to prove that it was not, bearing on mind they have their own panel of Industry expert witnesses on retainers...
In the case of tyres I would think Pirelli would argue their position as the manufacturer...

Here is what Dunlop said about it in 1978
