Hey All...
So this is a newly rebuilt engine (by me, minimal idea of what I'm doing) It runs good, revs good but has a hesitation at idle about every 20 seconds or so. The engine wants to die, but doesn't. It isn't as noticeable when driving as it is when idling. I borrowed a friends solex carb, as mine wasn't playing nice. This carb was recently cleaned and runs well, aside from this hesitation. You can hear a little pop before it starts to die too. Not sure if it's ignition, fuel, timing..... anybody have experience or thoughts? Figured I'd ask the pros before I start replacing things!

Video of the issue can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nof4CbFlWA

Thanks in advance!

Are you using an electric fuel-pump Chase? I was trying to work out your fuel-line lead at the mechanical fuel pump. If you DO have an electric fuel-pump, have you tried taking that out of the system and using the original mechanical fuel-pump? It will supply far more fuel than you will ever require. I have a tuned 650 engine in the back of my car, with the original pump and one problem that I have never had is a lack of fuel. Other thoughts--have you checked the slow running jet for any blackage---your problem sounds like an intermittant slight lack of fuel--try richening the idle mixture slightly (screw OUT)---even a 1/4 turn can make a surprising difference.
