Technical What is this piece of tin work?

I’m slowly pulling apart my old motor that’s been sitting in a Rubbermaid container for about 5 years now and cleaning up the bits that I can while I plan a motor build. I found this piece that I blasted and primed, but I’m not sure where it fit. I don’t see it on my current motor or pics of engines online. I’m sure I’m missing something obvious here. Little help please?

Small piece of ducting between the fan shroud and the sump. Is actually held in place by a couple of the sump bolts.

Thanks Joe! That's it. Admittedly, I did not crawl under the car in my search.

As Joe has already mentioned, it is the cover-piece between the bottom of the fan shroud and the side of the sump. Its job is to direct a flow of air UNDER the standard sump--through the corrugated double skin.
