Hi all
Couple of questions

Is it normal for the choke to stay in the upright position then only be able to be pushed down after a considerable amount of time?

And when I’m at idle the oil light flickers - assume I just need to adjust the throttle a bit or is something else up

Thanks in advance

Subject to the ambient air temperature, you should be able to push the 'choke' lever slowly down after 2-3 minutes of running.
The Fiat specificationis that the oil-pressure light CAN flicker when the engine is idling when it is hot, as long as the light goes out as soon as you rev the engine

Thanks, I think I might need to adjust the idle a fraction

But on the choke, it stays up way longer than 2-3 mins, air temp at the moment is about 26-27 deg so warm enough

So I think there is a small problem that it stays in position do long

First time I hear that the choke handle should automatically go down? I start the car with choke, and once started I push it down. As for the oil light, indeed your idle is low.

Thanks
That was my thoughts on tick over, will have a play and see what I can do
For the choke, it doesn’t automatically go down but more that I cannot make it stay down. It just pull back up to the upright postion

You may have a kink in the cable or the tiny, swivel-clamp which secures the inner wire might be the wrong type or put together badly.

Ok, thanks. Appreciate the pointers

Will take a look in the next days and see what I can find

Thanks again
