Posted on 600 forum but no replies so giving a try here. I just got a restored seat 600 1970 and want the colour code as I've no idea.
Looks blue in sunlight but darker with a turquoise hint when out of sun. I'm hoping they did it a standard fiat colour as I've seen photos that look similar. My initial guess is blue turquoise code 419. Anyone any ideas/guesses, all welcomed.

Looking at the Fiat colour codes, 419 looks much darker, your colour looks more like '434' Azure Blue. The trouble with older paints is that they morf into a slightly different colour as they age. The only good way (which I admit is very difficult at the moment) is to get a paint-shop to analyse a small piece--that way they can match it exactly.
Very nice looking car--although I have, for a variety of reasons (one being space, or rather lack of it, when we lived in Felixstowe) built up a '695' replica, my favourite car is the "Abarth 850tc".
Very clean engine bay, but PLEASE remove that fuel filter between the pump and the carb--(a) you don't need it and (b) it is a fire hazard--if the (plastic!) filter should leak for any reason, it is right on top of the dynamo--not wise!

Is yours 419? It looks darker in these photos. See hint of turquoise in first?

Thanks for tip on the filter I'll remove as soon as I can get a new pipe

Did they have 'metallic' in 1970? or to give it the proper name which I believe was---'polychromatic'. It is difficult to pin down a colour from the photos. I have just looked through the 1969-1974 Fiat colour codes and I think that the Azzuro Blue (medium blue), code 437, is very close. It would be interesting as what it actually is!

Metallic flake paint was around long before 1970 but had it been available as a finish for a particular car model I suspect that Fiat would not have described it as polychromatic; but here, like you, I'm drawn in to splitting protein filaments that grow from follicles found in the dermis. Possibly 434 was your typo (typographical) mistake?

In searching for this beautiful car’s paint code it would seem that an important word of Stocky’s original post has been overlooked; his car is not a Fiat but a SEAT and like all manufactures surely it is fair to assume SEAT had their own colour pallet?

Searching paintref.com for SEAT paint codes I found a colour called Azul Aguamarina, code 412 which appears to be very close.

Doh! Thank you for pointing out what should have been "bleeding obvious" ian--must be all that fresh Norfolk air. Yes, SEAT 412 does look very close.
A question to Stocky---on the 600 range there should be a plate on the rear firewall with a paint-code on it---has it been taken off at some time?

Gents as the car has had a nut and bolt resto in the last couple of years I have no history so was guessing they would go for a fiat colour as I couldn't find any info on seat codes. Can anyone post a link to the seat codes please? Attached is plate if it gives any info I'd love to know.

looking at the picture of your VIN plate, there seems to be some lettering underneath it, in the bodywork---is that of any help?
