Hi
Does anyone here know which Fiat these wheels came off? The car has disk brakes at the front so I think these are non standard wheels they fitted?
It's also had a 126 652cc engine fitted. Could these be 126 wheels?
Reason for asking is I'd like to get the hub caps for these wheels as they look unfinished.
Thanks
PC

The car has been fitted with MK2 '126 (652cc) hub assemblies which has changed the wheel-bolt PCD from 190mm to 98mm, the standard Fiat pattern. The wheels that you have on your car might have come off a 850 saloon (which used 5.5in x 12in wheels)---the 850 special and coupes used 13in wheels

Thanks for your reply. I had thought maybe an 850 but all the pictures I've seen of 850s are either the ones with the round holes along the outside or the ones without any slots of holes at all.....Also, they have the ability to take press on chrome hub caps.
The wheels on mine are different with 6 slots.....
Also, they don't have the ability to take chrome press on hubcaps...
Regards
Peter

Hi,
OK, I've found out where my wheels are from. A Polski Fiat 126.
See attached.
Now I just need to find the plastic hub caps!

^^ That style of hub cap was used on several other models of Fiat after they stopped using the clip on chrome hub cap. Iirc, the genuine ones, with Fiat stamped in the centre, were all painted steel, and the wheel bolts used with them had a deeper head and were no longer stamped Fiat.

Thanks Al, makes sense as the threads on my wheel bolts are slightly longer to accommodate the hubcaps as you can see in the original picture.
I wonder if anyone still has a set....

you can fit 500 wheel trims to the 126 wheels with an adapter.
Not difficult to make, although I have a set to sell if you prefer.

Hi there,
Now I AM intrigued......
I guess it would be kind of cool, lowered, 650cc engine but with the 500 chrome hub caps looking more like a normal one....
People wouldn't be expecting a normal 500 to blow them away at the lights!
Pray tell, send a picture of this adaptor....
Thanks

It's nothing fancy.
Held in place with 2 wheel bolts. nut welded in place to hold the original chrome headed bolts.

Wow, they look really well made. Do you make these yourself? I'll send you a PM.
I'd also need some hub caps. Anyone have any?
Cheers
Pete

What nuts did you use MOD? Do they take the standard hub cap bolts? I think I have some new ones, maybe some old hubcaps and I also have a new old stock set of polished 500 trims. Just a case is if I can find them :)

they are M12 fine pitch nuts to suit the standard chrome hub cap bolts.

Hi, did you have a look at what hub caps you may have? Please would you PM me with details?
Thanks
Pete
