Morning fellow owners. I would like to fit an original Autovox radio to the beast. Not that I'll hear much. Issue, the units only support AM. But I hear you can convert to FM.

Anyone done, seen, heard etc ?

Cheers
Rob

I spoke to my local old school radio/tv repair guy about this...

He said basically 80% of the internals are useless... all you will retain is the amplifier...
His solution was to remove the entire internals and try to find a diy fm radio kit that could be built and mounted inside the main case..
The knobs could be made to work but the tuning would obviously be hit and miss.

You can get them converted to DAB and AUX in for a sum...
I've got one...

second starting point is the bank...
There is a module you can have added that does the conversion... but not available over the counter and only available fitted by approved company....
hence there used to be a £10 kit from Maplins or whoever...
you simply gutted the radio, kept the original innards and added the new one...
