Hello, I am working on replacing the vent window frame. I drilled out the top rivit. I figured all I would have to do now is pull it out. But I can't seem to get it. Any suggestions?

This is what is happening inside the door. First shot is of the shaft being 'gripped' in a sleeve. I think it is just a friction thing. (If I had taken a photo from the other side you would have seen the head of the screw rather than the end of it.) You might have an issue or damage the frame by just trying to pull it out. I can't quite remember what I did for mine, but the whole door was stripped so it would not have been an issue.

Second is a photo of my old frame with a new frame on top of it for comparison.

A word on new frames if you are heading that way. Absolute crap. (OK, two words, I am working on my counting....) I bought a pair for my resto. They are so badly made and flimsy I got to the point where I could not get them to fit so I had my old ones repaired.

And yes the old ones were rusted through in some spots, but the guy who did my chroming took a look at them and said 'yeah, we can fix them, we do it from time to time for older cars'.

The first and third photo shows the condition of one of my old ones, if you look closely you can see that at one point it is rusted through.

Regards
