A small matter of heart surgery stopped me from making my annual visit to the family in New Zealand last year. Heading out soon for a nine week visit. I have been known to fit the odd small Fiat items into my luggage in the past just in case anyone needs anything :)

all those early 500s that those down under keep offering for sale at mouth watering prices...

(but have sent pm for a couple of little bits)

I could really do with a decent IMB28 carb if you have one that'll squeeze into your suitcase.

Yes I do happen to have two brand new late series Fiat 126 carbs. For some reason they changed from IMB to Weber 28SIA possibly because they fitted an automatic fuel cut off valve as a safety feature. They are not the nasty Spanish or even worse Chinese copies.

Will you be in Wellington at any time? Don’t need parts, but maybe a catchup?

Not made any plans yet apart from my son's 40th birthday party. We often get called upon to do loads of baby sitting with the grandchildren.
If we do plan to get down your way I will message you. I always fancy another ride along the Forgotten World Highway and revisit the Horopito car breakers yard which is kind of on the way.
Almost finished my packing but not sure if I can fit enough spare pants and socks in :)

Strikes me David that you would seem to have the correct sort of 'bits' in your case (socks and pants can be bought anywhere). It is amazing how much you can get into the modern lightweight case! When Ann and I came back from Italy last year we had an 'Abarth' 3-1/2litre sump in each of our cases. In hindsight though it might have been cheaper to have the sumps posted to us--the clothing parcel was not cheap!
All joking aside, I am delighted to hear that your health is such that you can make the trip---have a great time out there, enjoy the grandchildren. If you see anything small that you think i may like, don't hesitate!
