Hello, could you tell me what colour wires go where in the flasher unit please? I have red, purple and blue or green/black wires and the flasher relay has X, P and L terminals. Many thanks and lastly is the second fuse down from the top, an 8 amp and is this the one for the indicators? Many thanks

Hi, can you confirm your vehicle type as the wiring can be different - 500 Sedan? Station Wagon ?
From the description I'm quoting the Sedan coding - you should have the following wires - Black/Blue x 2 - Violet - Black/White - Black.

The flasher should have a '+' 'P' 'L' terminals, the wires fit the following both Black/Blue onto the + terminal. The Violet onto the P terminal and the Black/White onto the L terminal. The Black is the earth. The second fuse (No 2) should be an 8 amp rating and does supply the indicators. Make sure you have a good earth onto the bodywork, a lot of circuits depend on it being good.

Hi Gardener, The problem here is that Fiat made changes throughout the individual model histories, so sometimes the book wiring looks off :mad: However, I would try the following - Black/yellow to '+' Violet to 'P' and Black/Green to 'L' It seems that the wiring from the sedan and the Station wagon have been mixed ????? Also on the Book wiring the number 5 is the fuse for the indicators with the Station Wagon ???? If you have a replacement flasher unit replace the wires as an exact from the old unit and try it (y)(y)

As far as I can ascertain from the wiring diagrams that I have to hand, the wiring of the '110D',110F and Giardy are the same. Number 5 fuse is for the indicators on all theses models, and all fuses are 8 amp.

Many thanks - it’s been so long since I took the original off that I can’t remember and have been struggling to find a wiring diagram with the same colour wires as mine. Thanks again!
