Technical 500 rear spring rate.

Anyone know the spring rate on stand rear springs 500F.
Cheers

Hi Rizzo, The only info on common springs is noted in the 126 Haynes Manual - Chapter 10, spring identification - Yellow or Green type and then details on height under load for both colours. The rate is not detailed, Hope this helps.
Ian.

According to the Factory w/shop manual, the specifications of the rear springs are as follows:----Wire diameter:---------------------------13.5mm +/- 0.05mm
Working coils:----------------------------4-1/4
Free height:------------------------------221mm
Height under load of 410 +/-10kg:-----151mm
Height under load of575 +/- 29kg:-----123mm
Solid height:------------------------------93mm
Flexibility:---------------------------------17mm per 100kg
I think that the 'flexibility' factor might be the one you want----I would read that as 'spring rate'

Hi Lads,
Thanks for your input. Im fitting coil overs on the rear the spring rate is 200lb but it seems a wee bit soft. 7 inch long x 2.5 ID
