I am trying to see if we have a comprehensive list of all the light bulbs for the 500. I am wanting to upgrade my lights to LEDs for most of them, however I do not know the correct bulb sizes. I recently acquired the "Lexus style " halogen upgrade kit and the side turn signal lights did not come with a bulb, and they have 2 terminals on the base vs my cars original one terminal. Now I believe the other terminal is a ground so should be easy fix there. I also tried to hook up my new front turn signal lights and when I did the flash started to get a bit off. In cab indicator flashed quick and would stop. I narrowed some of it down to the fact the new bulbs are dual filament and my original ones are single with the indicator light being housed in the headlight. I'm just not sure how I am supposed to wore up the new turn signal as it has 3 terminals for a dual filament. assuming one is for ground, then where do I hook up the other wires? I will attach pictures that might help explain. The only wiring info I got was the translated instructions for the relay.

I do believe the bulb I need for the side turn signal light is a T10. But if we had a list of all the bulbs would be helpful.

I ran into the indicator bulb problem with normal bulbs. It would seem that all the new 'pattern' indicator lights come with "twin filament bulb" fittings, and you HAVE to use twin filament bulbs in them---they just use only one of the filaments. I thought that I had made a mistake with the bulbs, fitted single filament bulbs and proceeded to go through fuses at a rapid rate! My new 'pattern' indicator repeaters have 2 terminals, as against the single terminalof the originals---comes of making the new bulb-holders in plastic as against the original which were metal (which used the wall of the bulb-holder as the earth 'terminal'). The much lower resistance of the LED bulbs could (I am no electrician) be the reason why your indicators flash much faster with LED bulbs in the lights. Don't forget, TECHNICALLY you must not use an LED bulb in a headlamp that is not designed for their fitment--the lenses and reflectors will give a totally incorrect light pattern. If an MOT examiner realises that you have LED headlamp bulbs in 'normal pattern' headlamps he is obliged to fail the car. I would be interested myself as to how one could up-rate the headlight output, at a sensible price.I am sure that the electricians among the Forum members can come up with better answers---I would welcome that.

Yes, I dont have to worry about MOT but we do have a safety inspection which is supposed to include headlights here on the island of Oahu (not on any of the other islands) but I wasnt planning on changing the headlights, was just going to stick with the new halogens. Mostly wanted to convert all the other lights. However the dual filament front turn signal bulb that came with the kit causes my flasher to go all wonky, so I just put back the single filament for now. I may just use that until I figure out another way to wire up something that doesnt cause or is separately controlled for the turn signals. But does anyone still have the bulb sizes for all of the lights on the car?
Like for example a list that would go:
Headlight - (Halogen) H4 12v 45w
Side indicator - T10 12v 5w

Etc...
Thanks again.

When Valentina turned up I purchased a complete set of bulbs from Ricambio in the UK.

The good news is, on the back the pack, it lists the bulb types! Whoop whoop!

Hopefully this answers all the bulb questions that you were too afraid to ask :D

Cheers
Rob
