It is expensive, but my taillight assemblies need to be replaced anyways since the actual bulb housings don't hold the bulbs correctly anymore (heat warped the plastic housing) and bulbs dont stay on for more than a day before the bulb moves and lights go out again. Plus my lenses are old and crack. I may go with some additional lights like you did in the end. My only problem is that I dont actually have a bumper installed... so that is additional cost there too. I'm gonna do the conversion. Then if I feel I need more lighting I will go with additional lights route. Plus it looks like a mean rally car the way you have it set up. I like it.The reflectors of those headlamps might be better-made than original or reproduction Carellos and the prism pattern of the lens certainly can't be worse than some of the repros. But that's a heck of a price to pay in order to gain halogens and Thomas' suggestion, ie. to fit uprated bulbs, (maybe not as extreme as the 75/70W !!!) would also be my advice.
