How did I miss this?

I'm sure that many others here, more knowledgeable than I am, are already aware of this. It's a surprisingly appropriate commemorative rally which, in 1958, was originally aimed at cars of less than 500cc; of course, a Fiat 500 was the winner back then. It was originally run virtually non-stop over four days, covering almost 2000 miles. I think the re-run this year, (which was specially targeted at micro-cars), was slightly more sedate, being spread over eleven days, but it would still have been a major challenge and one that I will be looking out for in the future.
I came across it on Facebook on the Fiat 500 Club of Ireland page; it seems that maybe one of their member's cars was involved?

Easy ...
you were too busy testing Murph around the UK...
and when not doing so gallivanting round the Highlands...

...but now we need to up our game and take on bigger challenges. The company that arranges this tour has one planned for microcars in The Pyrenees in late 2020.....not sure I can wait that long nor pay extra for the privilege. ;)

Wait isn't murf running a 650?! Have to pop the original one back in!

What a great story - a little 13 year old in the navigator's seat
(*hatches plans to do same with daughter in 4 years)

Looks like a beautiful route, not sure I'd have much luck seeing the road ahead with all those mountains and other cool cars about

I have all the information about this now and although I would love to do the rally it's a bit beyond the budget I could justify. At around £2,000 per person, with your costs of getting there and back and other incidental costs to find, and there being a requirement to have a navigator in any case, we've roughly worked out that we could fund a more low-key, independent tour of Europe for a couple of months for the same amount of dosh.

Nice to have a challenging route worked out for me, involving access to some unusual places and to be in the company of like-minded nutters carrying fancy rally decals and badges, but I'm probably going to have to give it a miss.:cry::cry:
