Technical Oil spraying out of exhaust ?!

Hi all!
I have a 72 500, and there is a lot of oil coming out of the exhaust! Spraying all over the place.
Any ideas ??

Are you 100% sure that it is coming out of the exhaust?
For that to happen you would either have some very worn or damaged pistons or very worn valves and guides.

A lot of smoke ! Turns out it isn’t coming from inside the exhaust but spraying from somewhere else onto the exhaust ?!

Is the oil dip stick missing. It should sit in a hole above the exhaust, by the distributor. If it is missing then oil spits out the hole and onto the exhaust box.

Is it just on the exhaust side of the engine? If so it could be From the rocker cover , push rod tube seals, dip stick as mentioned and sometimes the oil light switch can break down and spray out oil. Another common one is the exhaust bracket to crankcase studs coming loose or falling out.

I had a similar issue. Mine was dipstick related. I have the dipstick with the rubber stopper on the shaft. Over time with heat and age, the hole where the dipstick shaft goes through enlarged. I took the two pieces apart, cleaned them thoroughly with solvent, and then epoxied them together, in essence sealing the hole to the shaft. This solved the problem of oil peeing out onto the side wall of the engine bay and muffler.

I've certainly had a similar, though more explosive problem. The dipstick is the main suspect.

For what I understand dipstick fails very often so maybe securing it with a spring or a piece of wire might be wise.

I had my dipstick coming out today. I always thought that it felt loose. Not sure if came out by it self or not. I did check the oil level before the drive so it might have been my fault and yes it smokes a lot when it is not in place.

Today i added some oil (about 750ml or bit more) and when engine starts, exhaust starting to spraying oils. I'm sure coming from exhaust cause i put clean cloth near the pipe and some blackish oil sprays come out. What's happening ?
