Does anyone know where to get a gasket for the abarth emblem as in the picture 256_p51_l.jpeg

The edging to protect your paint-work from the sharp edges of the badge can be purchased from:---"Vehicle Wiring Products" (www.vehicleproducts.co.uk). The part number is:---'PSI'---edge protection beading, page 9 of their catalogue. A couple of metres will give you plenty enough to practice (which I advise around the end of the 'wings') and to do the job. First of all, cut about 6 inches of the length and immerse it in HOT water for a few minutes (to soften it). Whilst it is still hot, practice fitting it round the ends of the 'wings'. If your badge is the normal type with 4 securing studs, make up 4 wide strips of metal (or thick plastic) with a hole in the centre to go over the studs. Borrow your wife's hair dryer. Work out the full length that you will need to go round the badge and let it warm up in hot water. Then, starting alongside the bottom 'V', work your way round the badge, using the hair dryer to help keep the trim pliable. You will find the 'wings the hardest part (hence the practice). Finish off at the bottom 'V', leaving the 'V' with no trim---this will (a) allow any water that gathers behind the badge to drain out and (b) I haven't yet worked out how to get the trim around such a tight corner! slide the strips over the studs and run the nuts down the thread, thereby using the strips to hold the trim in place. Warm all the trim with the hair dryer, pushing it into place where necessary----doing this will help the trim acquire the shape of the badge, and the metal/plastic strips will keep everything in place whilst it cools.
A tip regarding the badge---unless you are EXTREMELY lucky the chrome around the badge will start corroding after about a year. If the "ABARTH" badge is separate, mark where its edge is on the chrome-work, take it off, and paint the area covered by the badge and the back of the badge with anti-rust paint. After you have refitted the "ABARTH" badge, clean the chrome around the badge and give it a coating of CLEAR wax (I have used 'dubbin'). This will help extend the life of the chrome.
