Need some assistance boys and girls. A colleague and I are seriously looking into making our own "wish-bone" front suspension for our 500s. The welding/machining/design skills are all OK, but we need some assistance with regard to 2 measurements. (1) the length of the wishbones from the bottom of the front upright/king-pin carrier to the inner wish-bone pivot point and, (2) the length of the cross-member from wish-bone pivot point across to the opposite wish-bone pivot point. I know that there are a few members who have fitted this type of front suspension (Andrew in Canterbury?). Any assistance with these measurements would be much appreciated.

Is there NOBODY out there who ha fitted 'wish-bone' front suspension who can help me out with the 2 measurements I require? Could you have a look with a tape-meaure Andrew?

Thank you for your input Geoff---that might be the way we have to go. Following your suggestion, I have had a good look at cross-members from a number of suppliers----ALL seem to put the wish-bones inner pivot point directly in line with the mounting bolts, This is a good starting point. If nobody comes up with the measurement from the inner pivot-point to the outer bush (for the bottom of the king-pin holder), we will most probably have to work out that measure point from the pictures.
