I've recently installed the very same, very easy to fit, but for the wires being too short.
On the other hand I've also just realised I've replaced one of the "usual suspects" in case of malfunction (the condenser) with another (the EI unit).
This after it was suggested to me on this forum that I might have "a duff unit"

The system showed is a "Hall Effect" system---simple and very effective, I have fitted a "AccuSpark" and used it with no problems for the last 2 years. It gets rid of one of the 500s main 'gripes'---the rate at which they can devour condensers. A lot of people have fitted this system to a very wide range of cars. At one time "AccuSpark" were doing a 'package'---ignition, coil AND Timing-light. You WILL need a timing-light to check the ignition as you cannot set an 'electronic' ignition (as against 'points') statically. The trick is to carefully note the position of both the distributor AND THE ROTOR-ARM before you remove the distributor. The timing may not be 'spot-on' when you refit the distributor (after fitting the 'electronic' unit), but it will be close enough to get the enginestarted.

I've found the easiest and most reliable unit is the 123 electronic ignition distributor. I completely replaces your worn distie with a rolls-royce build unit. It has an LED light to tell you when you have statically timed the unit (so it will start). It has a bunch of maps (16 I think) if you decide to rolling road the car at some point. It's a truly fit and forget solution.

They are a bit more than other solutions, but worth every penny!

Easy to install and makes the engine run much much smoother, i highly recommend it together with new spark plug leads, of course your distributor has to be also in good shape to get the max out of it.;)
