I have just installed a 126 EL motor into my 1968 500F.

The "EL" is the very last version of the 652cc air-cooled motor and has ... no distributor. The block casting is not even bored where the distributor normally fits. The ignition is triggered by a sensor next to the crankshaft pulley.

So far, although I have tried hard and long, I can not find any information on this system.

Can anyone please help me with a wiring diagram for this installation ?

Do a Google search for DIGIPLEX ignition and see if it looks like what you have.
