So after i put my new engine on (650cc) every time i am turn the switch to off to kill the engine i got the gen and oil light on. The when i remove the key those two lights get brighter and stay on:bang:. If i crank the starter (without the key in) for a sec, just a little crank to draw some current, both lights goes off and there is no current between battery and chassis so there is no leak.

Gearbox as well as engine are grounded with a jumper as they were before.

I touched a cable between engine head and chassis When those lights where on but nothing changed.

If i jump the engine head with coil's black wire those lights get even brighter. (i am using a powerspark ignition without capacitor).

In the diagram bellow you can see my connections before and after.

Have you gutted the regulator box?

No! just using it as terminal box, should I remove or isolate internals ?

Tony's on the ball; the regulator box can actually be removed. You simply need to connect the wires; you could even use a terminal block. Most people leave the regulator for its appearance sake but completely strip it as you will have all sorts of odd connections happening otherwise. All the regulating is done by the little silver component on the alternator.

I see, sorry about that I thought that I could use it as is, I like it inside there actually. Ok I will isolate it, Thanks

Update. Regulator box internals removed, problem solved. Now a few more issues to fix and it will be ready. Thank you again for the help.
