Hi all!

My general rust tidy up on my 1970 500f has now turned into a complete resto including a new sports 650cc engine and gearbox. While stripping the engine bay of all the stone chip gunk I found the car was originally white. Not the red it currently is. My question is does the vin tag include the original paint code?

I don't think it always does on the UK spec cars. Some of the blank OEM versions of the plate you can buy have a space for the code. My 1969 F didn't have the colour stated but the 1971 has an additional plate underlapping the chassis-plate which does have the three digit colour code.

Hi Fiat 500 my plate appears to be the cars original ID plate and has all the areas numbered. I'm not sure how to decode these numbers though. The only posts I've found on here have links that don't work? Any ideas?

Hmmm! I have a IGM number a autotelaio- chassis number. Tipo number. Engine number the another seven digit number on the bottom of the plate. No colori?
