It's been bugging me since I posted this but.... it reminds me of a Wolseley 1500
or is it just me???

It has looks which are reminiscent of many British cars of the '60s and before that. Many of "our" designers were Italian, Greek, Argentinian etc. and it's interesting that their designs now seem the epitome of Britishness.
The surnames give it away, Burzi, Michelotti, Issigonis and the design "house" of Pininfarina.
That Neckar is clever though because despite its different shape you can see quite a lot of standard 500 parts, even on the body.

No that wasn't the one.
this is the one.
these are the coupe version which are even more rare.

Unfortunately the front panels and engine cover were beyond repair, bonnet missing and to have new ones hand made would cost a fortune

Well someone bought it for a good price - about £650 if I remember.
Last time I looked for it I think it went up north.
Be interesting to find out what happened to it.

There was one guy on the net who had been trying to source a new rear screen. These would cost a fair bit for a new one if it were to break. Although I saw one being made from Perspex on CAR SOS which was really good. But not the same as a good bit of glass.

I am still in depression over not buying this as the time. I didn't really appreciate what it was. Otherwise I would have bought it :cry::cry:

I knew eventually his Spider senses would detect "Neckar"
I saw Bodge it and Scarper having the plex one done...
even though no too far away from "Fuzz's" Garage (Also known as Westgate Classics) is a company that could probably make a proper glass one...
As I have spoken to them about reproducing some screens...
Ohhh whats their name now :chin::chin::chin:
Pinkertons? - nope they are detectives

:chin::chin::chin::chin::chin:
Pilkintons that's the name.. believe they make things from glass...
