Iirc 3M used to do a glass to metal bonder.
Nowadays, whatever is used for bonding interior rear view mirrors to the windscreen would probably work.
Back in the day, it used to be said that UV light shining through the 1/4 light glass caused the adhesive to fail, had to re-stick many as a Mechanic. Cars which were garaged as much as possible seemed to last longer before failure of the bond.
I once tried applying a circle of black paint to the outside of the glass to shield the bonded area form UV light, lasted as long as I owned that car (5 years).
