General French Classic Car Restoration Series

Has anyone else seen any of the French "Vintage Mechanic" TV series? Each programme features a different Restoration project and shows the purchase , Restoration and eventual resale of the completed car.

All episodes are on YouTube and of particular interest is the Restoration of a barn find Fiat 500, complete with chickens. My O- Level French isn't very good, but I still found the programme entertaining. Unfortunately, as with similar U.K programmes, there was a bit too much talk and not enough Restoration. I suppose it's a case of having to make a programme that appeals to a wide audience.

I wasn't sure if I was allowed to put a link in, but a search for Vintage Mecanic on you tube will find all the programmes.

Thanks for the link. I'd think it's possibly even worse than the UK shows but couldn't make it as far as the restoration. . Usual thing as well...... it's no basket case.

Having owned a Willy's MB Jeep, I also had a look at the episode showing the restoration of a Jeep. I couldn't stop laughing when they removed the cylinder head to investigate the reason for lack of compression, and discovered that the supposedly rebuilt engine had been assembled with no pistons or connecting rods!
