Lost Screw (idle speed screw)

All I lost my idle sped screw, the one that pushes the throttle off the carb to give it enough petrol to keep running. I've tried searchong Weber 28 but can't find a screw anywhere. Anyone know where I can find one? Or the size and specs?

I searched 20 different sites and there is not short answer. Your best bet is to get someone to tell you the mm size of the screw and you can go get one at the hardware store. The good thing is the springs for the screw are available in lots of sites.

So how much do you want that screw? Someone might have a spare 28IMB to sell??? I do, but all jokes aside, I need to take the screw out and head over to home depot to measure the size. Give me a day to do, unless someone else chimes in.

This seems to be a recurring problem as I supplied the same part to a couple of guys last year and this post reminded me that I am short of these. So I measured one and they are M4 x 15 hex head set screws with a screwdriver slot. Going by ebay they are not common and you are very unlikely to get the screwdriver slot but they are available. I still have a load of Weber carbs and parts if needed.

I found the screw and the spring! Thankfully I always keep and oil pan under the car. It sound its way into it. Before disposing of the oil I always run it through a screen. LUCK!
