Hi I've just joined the site hoping to learn more about a car I've just bought from eBay, it's a 500f 1968 car it is an Italian import still on its Italian registration, I bought it as a birthday present for my wife as she loves the original 500.
Once I got it home it dawned on me that I knew little or nothing about fiat 500's
2 questions I have are, will it run on unleaded petrol? & also it has a gear knob with 5 speeds but I can't believe it actually has 5 forward gears so does anybody know how many gears it would have?

Yes it will run on unleaded. Some people reckon it runs better with RON98 but normal RON95 is fine
Normally it will have 4 gears (non syncro so double declutching) but there is a modern fifth gear upgrade. Usually only done when you have a sporty engine upgrade to go with it.
