Some people are so clever with computers!(y)

I think the Lego team would refine this a little and with a few special parts they would capture the spirit of the 500 a little better. Having said that, this person is a genius even to get so near to depicting a rounded car using square bricks!
I recently "helped" my 8 year old grandson build "Ecto-1"...the Ghostbusters' car....what a task! It was only slightly easier than restoring Murf, but for that I didn't have to put up with "Jack's" help.

I know it is very clever.

Have you seen the VW camper they actually made this one.

Perhaps sad to admit ;) but I have the VW Campervan plus the VW Beetle they did a few years ago and the more recent Mini Cooper. All pretty good especially the two VWs but curves/rounded bodywork are the hardest bit to replicate and the least successful - as mentioned already. So far this looks a little too contrived but will probably end up on a birthday/Christmas list soon if it gets the go ahead (y).

At least I could sit at the table in a warm room to put it together rather than lying on the hard floor in a cold, draughty garage like the real thing :D

Just a quick bump.
It's doing quite well but could do with more votes!
Just reached the magic 10k votes so should now be going to the Lego Review Board [emoji1] [emoji1] . Fingers crossed as I need something for my Christmas present list (probably not 2018 though)!!!

Not a Fiat either (or even Italian) ... but Lego (enough said) ... I saw in the Volvo museum in Gothenburg.

There is also a life size Ferrari F1 car (so Italian :D) at the Maranello museum. I don't have a photo to hand at the moment.

Neither are available on Amazon for my Christmas list :(

A little video of how it was designed.

I bet there's been a few people there who've been cursing Mr. Giacosa and his love of curves[emoji3]. The obvious design problem with Lego is that it is not a very helpful shape for capturing our little bubble in a convincing way. I look on with interest rather than anticipation. [emoji23]

So I've finished my latest build [emoji16]

I don't know if anyone else has one of these. I must admit it looks better in reality than in pictures. As mentioned before using mainly square bricks for curvy shapes is always a challenge.

And look guys...not a dangerous fuel filter in sight [emoji1]

Lego made a 1:1 model and displayed it in Turin at the Fiat Factory....
