Hi all, long time lurker first time poster.

I'm slowly putting back together a full restoration on my 69 500f and need some help.

If someone could explain where and how the wires from the indicator assembly travel back into the front storage bay would be greatly appreciated.

I would also love to know how all the cables are meant to be arranged to travel through the rear firewall.

Unfortunately I lost many of the strip down photos when my phone died so I have lost my references.

I will also throw together a build thread to show some progress to date.

Thanks,

Glen

Indicator cables pass through a grommet into the luggage compartment and the same at the rear where the loom passes on the nearside (UK) and through the firewall behind the rear seat at the top of the engine bay.
New grommets are recommended

Is it through the small hole below the large opening for the speedo?

Second question was a separate one in relation to all the pull cables, handbrake cables etc at the rear firewall and how they are meant to be arranged as they pass through into the engine bay. I.e which cables go through which holes?

Awesome!

Thanks for the picture, that is exactly what I needed.

In relation to my first question, I have taken a photo to show the two holes under the speedo unit and have attached it.

Can anyone confirm what the two holes are for?

Based admittedly on that limited image, it looks like you're doing a great job.(y)
The oval holes, you probably know, are for the knee-pad studs, the downward round hole has a blanking grommet on my car and I think the one under the column fixing is for the cables from the indicator stalks; they go through an impossibly small hoile and grommet.
