Hello All,

Picked up my UK 1969 F last week from a lovely couple near Oxford. Cracking little car, not my first, had an L a few years back.

It was originally dark blue which you can see in some areas on inspection, no rust, nice and solid and runs great.

I plan on turning it back to the blue, maybe ferrari TDF blue, and pretty much restoring it to how it left the factory. Got a great dealer badge with it, originally sold in Bristol, would love to trace its history over the years!

Anyway, i'll post progress pics as and when I get round to it.

I like your style G. Too many poor cars getting modified to death I fear, although I do wonder what "pretty much.....how it left the factory" might mean? It could be a cover for a multitude of what I call "sins":D:D:D

I look forward to seeing your car. I used to have a dark blue one with red seats and I loved that combination.

All the best

Peter

I see what you mean Peter but each to their own I suppose, I always like to see factory fresh classics. So yes it'll be back to standard, the 499 engine is enough for around London and I quite like the thrill of getting her up to speed!

Lovely sunny day in London, popped to a few meetings in Luigi, finished the last in Notting hill, was trundling home and uh oh throttle dies and kills the car, AA came, looks like carb issue. But hey, broke down outside a pub, so could have been worth.

They towed me to a 500 specialist, soon be back on track! All fun
