Hi all - help a newbie;
My new (to me) 1966 Giardiniera differs from what my driver's handbook shows in a number of ways (although both are 120 model). I was wondering if anyone can advise me how I can best educate myself as to the different changes with the model modifications?
thanks

Hi Geoff,
Your later Giardiniera will have the upgrades shared with the 500'F' sedan which has a variety of minor changes and several useful major improvements.

There will be upgraded clutch, axles, flexible couplings and transmission components, larger oil filler and modified cylinder head, different layout of the dashboard with the added luxury of the ashtray!

Unlike the sedan the Windscreen is unchanged (wagon screen used in 500F Sedan) and the 'suicide' doors are retained. Headlights should be the later asymmetrical type and fuel tank is different.

You are fortunate to have the later model as the running gear is much more robust and easily available- I am trying to incorporate the 'F' improvements to the transmission, drive shafts and suspension in the restoration of my 1961 model.

Good luck with the search for your manual- at least you have the most common type as there was not much variation in Giardinieras between 1965-1977 but you might struggle to find a later versions in English!

:)

thanks for that very helpful reply.
at least I have and english language early edition of the driver handbook to swap for a later edition. Anyone interested?
Regards
