(T) Mixture Screw

Where to get a proper mixture screw for 500F?

Tried this two ones but they are not same as my old one, I think the old one is abit longer?
Where to get the right one.

This is the srew for 26IMB. Quite difficult to find anywhere..
My problem is that the sharp end of the screw is worn...

If the sharp end of the screw is worn, the carburetor body may also be damaged.

You might want to see if you can buy a used one on ebay and rebuild it.

Just to make my point one more time.

If the mixture screw is damaged, the carburetor body is most likely also damaged. A replacement mixture screw will still not work well with a damaged carburetor body. It is almost impossible to damage a mixture screw unless it has been screwed in too tightly, which will damage the carburetor body also.

If you damaged the mixture screw after you removed it, then a replacement screw would work.

The kit listed in the previous post is expensive. You are better off getting a used rebuildable carburetor and buying the cheap rebuild kit that comes with just the gaskets and orings.

John is correct. If the tapered end of the mixture screw is damaged then more likely than not, the seat is also damaged and a new screw will not solve your problems. Having said that, the metal in the mixture screw may be softer than that of the carby body, so the seat could be OK. I'll try to find out for you. Any chance of you posting a photo of your old screw?

Good second hand carbies are available, though obviously you'll have to make sure that the same problem doesn't exist in whatever you buy.

Forgot to take a photo from the screw. I mailed fiat500vdlaan about the co-screw for imb 26. Got an aswer that these one is not produced anymore, so that is the reason why they are hard to find.

This looks like it on ebay. You might try to match up the weber part numbers, or just take a chance since it is cheap.
