General New (again) to forum

Hi, it's been while. Too busy with work and no computer at home makes things hard to keep posting stuff. So here's an update.

Car is in bits, I am replacing the wheel arches, the fiberglass ones were badly put on and the original arches not cut and welded as should be. So will need a few more of those. Plan will be to fit ones that can hold 12" or 13" wheels I am changing the look of the car to a modern racer look (if that's possible). Disks and wishbones with coil overs everywhere plus tripod shafts at the rear.

I could do with some advice on building a engine craddle and where to attach it to the car here are some pics.

Quick update.

I am using a local company ( very nice guy and enthusiastic) to build a UK version of a lower suspension kit for fiat 500s. This will allow people to increase the handling dramatically and will fully adjustable on rose joints so for mainly fast road/race use. The pics are from the billet crossmember.

Pics of the semi finished product. I am happy with the design, a lot stronger and lighter than thsoe found abroad and a lot more adjustable.

These will eventually be anodized to match the wheels I have ordered.

Hi Alain;
I like the look of your proposed 'wishbone' suspension--definately keep me in the picture, could be easily tempted to go for one myself.(y):)

More progress on the car, engine is in and rollcage/chassis being done as we speak.

Some pics of the engine mounts etc. and super short driveshafts being built.

Very short but there is not much movement so should work fine. Just enough space to put the tripod system and mini inner cv with a micro shaft.

New pics of new welded in roll-cage another week or so and baby back home.

Diagonal brace missing ( easier to get in and out without it for now) A pillar rolle cage tubes are connected to the front of the car and front shock mount with a strut brace.
