Don't think you needed a trailer for your new 500, you could have probably fitted the car into the back of your SUV :D

Hello from Tacoma, Washington! I'm new to Italian air-cooled, but love my little classic 500L. The prior owner restored her then imported it from Italy two years ago. Having fun getting her finished.

Welcome to the Forum. We are here to help, and from the comments we have seen from people who use other Forums, I think that you will find us one of the friendliest of all the Forums. Let us see some pictures of your "wee beastie".

Hey All, just wanted to show off my new purchase. This took me about 11 months to get, but it’s finally home. I’m in San Diego, CA, as I read a few others are as well.

This is a 58 Nuova America, with full ragtop. It needs a few items to get up and running. The starter was intermittent. I have a shop working on rebuilding it now. The pinion was also substantially chewed up as well. Also, there is no brake master cylinder on the car, so I’ve purchased quite a few parts to re-do the system and hopefully make him a driver soon!

Welcome man! What part of San Diego are you at? I live in Missouri but frequent San Diego and eventually will move back there! I’m down south in CHula vista!

Can’t wait till you get it running! Def a head turner!

Thanks! I’m in Escondido! Drop me a line when you’re back and we can try to setup a meet! I hope to have him running in the next week or two.

Nice! Solomons, MD here. I haven't been brave enough to drive her to/through DC and the Potomac bridge keeps me out of VA. Haha.

Yeah I’m still working up the courage as well. Nightmares of breaking down in the middle of the national mall haunt me.... but I’m gonna figure it out and someday hope to get a pic of the little guy in front of the Washington monument or maybe Lincoln memorial.....

We’ll see....

Just purchased a 1970 500L.
New to the forum.

New to these cars.

In the Phoenix AZ area.

Hi all. I’m Chris. I’ve had my 1970 500L since 2007. It’s been off the road since 2013, occupying a little corner of my workshop. I’m just wrapping up a restoration, and tweeking all the little things to make it a fun car to drive on any day - although I found out the other day that it’s not the best heavy-rains vehicle to stay dry in.

I’d post pics, but I can’t seem to find an option to upload an image....

I'm new to the fiat forum. Just bought a 71 500F, exactly like the one we owned when we were stationed in Gaeta, Italy w/uS Navy in the 80s. Its been a dream for my wife & I for 30+ yrs to own a 500 again someday, well that day came a few weeks ago.

Hi All,
I am in San Francisco and bought this 1969 Fiat 500D about a year ago. The car runs fairly well, but is in need of quite a bit of body work, it has a fair amount of rust and was hit in the front at some point.
I was originally planning on driving it until something went wrong with it and then restoring it, but since I seem to have some time at the moment I am thinking of starting sooner.
I will probably be posting on the general site for some general advice on sequencing the restoration and tips.
Anyway, glad to have found this great resource.
Luke
