ohhh forgot to mention....., if your cable ends are still original, you may find that the battery posts will be a bit larger. I didnt want to mess with my original cable ends so i filed the battery posts a bit and they fit no problem.

Frank, I'm actually in Italy, but I'll be moving to Florida during this month.

Welcome everyone.

Who all has a newer 500 in the states? I plan on getting an Abarth in a year or two after they come out.

I'm in italy at this time but will be moving to Virginia at the end of the year and we are taking our his and hers pair of 500's.
Here is a picture of mine already restored and a picture of my wife's in the process of being restored

I am in Leipers Fork, Tennessee. Very close to Franklin. About 30 miles southwest of Nashville. I have a 1969 500L I bought in Memphis from an ex-F-16 mechanic who brought it back from Italy.

I need a rebuildable 650 engine and transmission!!!
Any help from USA folks is appreciated.

Easy to fit battery size in USA is a 51 or 51R size. Only difference is what side the positive teminal is on. You can buy this size anywhere.

I have a 1970 500L with a 126 650cc engine. In the DC area. Bought it a couple of years ago. Some surface rust in a few spots, but basically sound and runs great.

(The number in the picture is just a way to cover up a large rest spot until I can get around to getting it fixed up. )

Welcome Rusty.

I have a '68 500F that I've had since 2006. She recently got some rust repair attention and a fresh coat of green paint on the outside. I still have some rust repair work left to do under the seats in the floor...

great to see 500's in the US

I'm in Italy at the moment and am thinking of bringing one over to Florida in a few months. Can anyone give me some pointers on how to proceed?

thanks :)

Im interested in buying a Classical Fiat 500 to restore in the USA.

Anyone got one for sale, even in a bad condition?

Many thanks. :)

Fiat Club of America Annual Fiat Freak Out is on Long Island this year. You should go. I will be there. Here is the link. At the very least you can come see the show on Saturday. It is free.
