hello, I have seen fotos of a guy with a tow bar for towing a small trailer here in sydney and I was wondering if anyone may also have one fitted to their 500 and how and where would it be fastenened to the car, thanks ric

Heyup. There are still pukka towbars available for the 500 and 126's:-

We had one made by a friend on a 126 now long gone...as I recall it had drop plates from the rear engine mount panel fixing bolts (changed for longer high tensile ones) and welded in an L shape, pieces that came out from car rear under the rear panel, across which was bolted the angle iron towbar. a bit agricultural but defo did the job...mind you we ran outa puff with car loaded and trailer!!...but downhills were a breeze...:slayer:
