Little Ava has been returned to me after having an engine out job, new rear coil springs, re-site the oil cooler, new front disc brake overhaul, new carb bracket fabrication & linkage set up, remove the electric fuel pump (as advised by most on the forum)
Wow! what a difference its just like driving a new car! but then it should be after 55 hours of Labour cost .
This just proves what i have said in another post I placed regarding buying a used Fiat 500 ”BEWARE OF OVERPRICED RESTORATIONS” that can look good on the outside, great paintwork & good looking interior but “Buyer Beware” there are some unscrupulous dealers out there hiding lots of hidden cover up jobs. Middle Barton Garage has now made Little Ava into a now SAFE little runaround usable classic fast 500L
At last she is as she should be now!

After a long search in the US for a Classic Fiat 500 I finally found the one I was looking for! It's new home is in Pennsylvania.
I'm new to the Fiat owners but been around them all my life. My uncle raced them in Northern Italy for many years.

1970 Fiat 500 (I think L)
700cc Engine
Sport suspension
10in wheels
Race interior (except no seatbelts lol ....for now)
Not sure yet what transmission is in it yet. didn't get to really drive it because I'm still waiting for the registration to come in.
Removed 67 STICKERS! You want to be a sponsor you pay me! HAHAHA
Custom emblems being made now.
Door decals being changed to 695

More photos to come when the snow melts and I can take it outside again.

I had one, it was my first car 51 years ago. I learned to drive in it and kept it for about two year's till my dad gave me his 1500cc Cortina.
It was a great little car and I went all over the place in it. And now look I have a 2004 1200 Panda and that also is a little beauty.
I wish I had some pics but sadly not.

Hi great day yesterday just had a photo shoot done in Woburn by a professional photographer

Took delivery yesterday.

It is very rough, but has a couple of good things done already, and given that it is a rough car, i wont feel bad for not keeping it in concourse state

- 650cc engine and synchro gearbox from a 126
- body damage on pretty much every single panel, be it small rust, bigger rust, cracks in the bondo or for the drivers side door, a massive dent because it actually went on its side according to the seller.

plans are to get it in proper running order (rear brake cylinders driveshaft boots and seatbelts are in the mail), drive it for the summer season, do at least one oldtimer tour/rally with it, and come autumn, make plans for a proper body restoration. Ideally i want it painted red, bumpers off and gold/bronze wheels. Might even go for big racing numbers on the door. Im not going full abarth replica, but do want it a bit more sporty.
