Does anyone know if a cincequento 900cc engine would go into a 127?

Would want it to couple to 4speed 127 box, 127 engine mounts and, preferably, exhaust manifold.

I understand the cinquecento would be single point fuel injection, not sure what challenges that would bring but happy to look into that further if people think this idea has got legs....

I think the Cinq is first generation of ECU controlled engine, so the ECU controls just the engine, and there is no car body computer. But I'm not sure about that.

There are posts about different engines into Puntos, where a generic ECU is used, might need to do a bit of searching to find relevant threads, but worth a try.

I believe the Cinq engine is just a development of the 900 in some 127s, so hopefully engine mount positions will work.
But, how about chasing late Panda instead, as they went fuel injection from late '92, both on the 900 and 1.0. Autos used a 1.1 with single-point injection, as did the last few years of European cars. No body computer on those.

Uno was the replacement for 127, and intially used the same engines, later changing to the FIRE units, so the few Unos around might provide an engine and gearbox.

Good luck.
