Hello all
I've strayed over from the Cinquecento/Seicento area of the forums as I've acquired a Polish-market Cinquecento, which as you may know has a 700cc engine as used in the 126BIS. UK buyers never had this option, only 899 or 1108cc.The car was apparently bought over here as a donor for a 126- until the owner realised that the engine rotates in the opposite direction when installed in the front-engined Cinquecento.I'm in the process of getting the car ready for an M.o.T. so it can obtain UK registration plates (I already have NOVA approval).
My Cinq appears to be a fairly straightforward restoration as it already starts and drives. The engine is in need of a good service and as I've never owned a car with this power unit I have some general questions, such as does it have any particular weaknesses, what oil should I be using - and what are the recommended spark plugs?
Many thanks!
Steve
