With my 1991 fiat 126 bis i have had some problems changing into third gear and it not going into reverse I had a look on the forum and someone said to put zc90 gearbox oil and it may fix it the problems, the only thing is I don’t know how to drain the old gearbox oil and change in the new stuff without taking the whole gearbox out, hope someone can help me as I would like to drive her again without any problems. Hi ed before draining your old oil you should consider checking the adjustment on the lever itself. If you remove the plastic trim surrounding the gear stick and lift the carpet you'll see two 13mm bolts on the side of the transmisson tunnel. If you slacken them then engage third gear then retighten them you may find it helps with the selection. Also get some grease and apply it all over the spring and joint at the bottom of the lever base.

I wrote a guide on changing gearbox oil on the 126 forum so If you still want to change the box oil check this link out
