Hello, this is Martin in Ohio. My car is a 1981 Fiat Spider in Bruno Metallica.
Having trouble with the instrument lights. They were working and stopped
when I did some work behind the panel. The fuses are OK.


Each bulb has a white wire and a black and white wire. Which one is the ground and where does it connect? I see a round plate under the steering wheel which has seven blades and seems to be a common ground. Only four of the blades are used. Is this the place where the inst. illuminating lights should be grounded? What is the connecting wire to the ground and how does it connect to the bulbs wiring? Is there another ground? Have been studying the wiring diagrams and not coming up with an answer.


Please let me know any advice.
