Does anyone know how the air horn system works on the 76 spider sport. I have the original air horn but the compressor is gone. I was going to put a new compressor on it but dont know much about the system. I need to now if the air horn is OEM and would of it been hooked up to the button on the steering wheel or on a separate switch? It has an electric horn as well and it is hooked to the steering wheel.

Seems to me that the air horn was standard (FLAMM) and the electric one was fitted due to a compressor fault, they tend to seize up if not oiled regularly with 3-in-one.
There are a few flamm compressors on ebay, there are more on the USA ebay site, and surprisingly hardly any on the Italian ebay site, i mamaged to pick up one a couple of weeks ago a Maserati set up all original for less than £40 Delivered from USA! and sounds fantastic, fiat fitted air horns as standard on quite a few of there cars as standard in the 60's and early 70's
