Without going through the entire process I've already tested here, this is where I'm stuck. The end of the diagnostic process concluded that the ECU needed replaced. I just put in the new ECU. Exact same problem. The 4 injectors are not firing. Now that I've proceeded to assess the situation I discovered 2 facts that I am not sure what they are telling me. 1) there is no power being conducted THROUGH the injector wires. 2) Both wires to each injector are HOT. Is this a relay issue?

Thoughts, Normally .....

a) they all remain hot awaiting a ground signal to complete the loop?
b) they need energized by the ecu and flow to ground?

How can they both be hot with the key in "run" position?

I've narrowed it down to the multi-function relay. The wires are always hot, the ECU completes the loop via intermittent controlled ground. If the relay is fried and cannot provide the ECU with a ground source, there's never a closed loop to activate the injector.

retardedly enough, it was just a wire pulled back inside the plug just enough to not make contact with the relay. Runs great. wow, how annoying although more affordable.:)
