I've been living with this freakin' oil leak for a couple of years now and if I fix it, I won't smell like burned oil every time I drive it, so I think I've decided to see what it's going to take to get this done.

Am I opening a potential can o' worms here, or is it pretty straightforward? It's been a whole lot of years, but I've rebuilt engines as a teenager, so I'm pretty comfortable with engine work overall. I'm just a little scared to take a perfectly well running '82 FI spider and screw up how well it runs. It seriously starts and runs perfectly and has never given me any trouble.

The car has around 150k miles so I'm also afraid of what else I'm going to run into while I'm tearing it down. Then I think, well, maybe while I'm in there I'll re-cam it and mill the heads while I'm at it. You can see how this could turn into a long project for me if I let it. :)
