i have a 74 spider and it bacame smog exempt and now i want to create a simple looking engine bay. What smog stuff can i take off or block off on my engine that is only because of smog. Hopefully give me a little more horsepower, and a simpler looking engine bay. Thank you

I guess you're from the other side of the pond and referring to a California emmissioned car?

I've never seen under the bonnet of one of these however do know that there was a load of EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) stuff done to the X1/9's. This would be a good starting point as it's only filling your engine up with rubbish instead of clean air and gas. Maybe you can post an engine bay picture and we'll see what else can be trashed
