1. any tips or suggestions on the best way to emty the fuel tank?

2. I need a new column switch (that controls wipers, lights etc) the switch on the argenta looks the same - can anyone confirm that or suggest a way to look up the part numbers

also the switch looks similar to some early lancia delta's - is it the same

As neither the delta or argenta were sold in Australia in any numbers it is very hard for me to check. Any help appreciated.

If you have an electric fuel pump then I would disconnect the fuel hose in the engine compartment, add a little extra and pump directly into suitable containers. Failing that syphon the fuel out. Note. If the electric fuel pump will not run with no oil pressure then you will also have to bypass the oil pressure switch.

Probably somewhere on the switch assebly will be a part number embossed. If you can tell me that part number (8 or more digits) I can look it up. Sadly I don't have either Fiat Coupe or Argenta microfiche slides.

Spider parts book lists the part number for the 83-85 column switch as 5839271

Can some kind person use the part number provided and tell me if the number is the same as the argenta part?
