In this pic there is a cable not attached. Looks like its the throttle cable. How is that connected ? I would assume its and eyelette or something like that that does on that bracket.

The throttle cable appears to be connected already.

If the car is/was automatic, it's probably the kick down cable. Item 18 in this diagram from an old parts catalogue.

There's probably a purpose made swivel connector that attaches the cable to the spare hole in the throttle fulcrum lever.

I've not seen under the bonnet (hood) of a Spider for about 20 years.

The connector is likely to be a small "U" shaped shackle with holes in each of the legs for a cotter pin and split pin. The crimped on ball on the end of the cable could fit in a slot in the well of the "U".

Just found this in the workshop manual. I appears that the cable connects to the throttle butterfly spindle, not the lever. If you take tha air filter off, you'll probably see where it belongs.

Can't imagine what the hole in the lever is for.

does anyone have a picture from this spot they can share so i get a visual of what its supposed to look like.

I was looking at the mechanics manual and found that it does indeed attach to that bracket. Does anyone have any idea where i can get that connector or something similar? That is the only part i need and the car will be back on the road. I have searched for weeks and still have not come up with anything.:(
