Hello, nice to be here in the Fiat Forum, I'm here for the first time.

I just bought a set of cams from a Fiat Ritmo 130 Abarth gr A, and despite the distributor conflict, can the intake cam be used on my 2.0 Spider motor?

I know that the 130 intake cam actuates the cam box mounted distributor on the Ritmo, whereas I believe the exhaust cam actuates the distributor on my Spider.

  1. Can I still use the Ritmo Abarth intake cam without modification?
  2. Can each of these cams be used as an intake cam for the 2.0 Spider motor?
  3. Should I shop around (the earth in my case) for Ritmo/Lancia cam boxes and a cam box mounted distributor, or would a cam box mounted distributor conflict with my LHD brake booster/other bits in my engine compartment?
  4. Assuming I can use the intake cam, what kind of performance increase might I expect compared to a stock US spec. 2.0 Spider cam?
I've crossed the Atlantic to ask this question, as the 130 TC was never imported to the Continental US in any of its variants. If nothing else, I'm sure I can turn a profit on these cams, but I'd rather use each of them as intake cams for my two Fiat Twin Cam motors.

Thanks for the proper spelling and grammar found on this board... (y)
