I received this car beginning of May. I had been driving the car for a couple of weeks when all of the sudden I started her and the starter motor did not stop spinning. The solenoid was not engaged, but the starter moter kept on spinning. I had to disconnect the battery cable in order to shut the starter off.

I then order another starter and replaced it. I had a VERY difficult time removing the old starter as some of you may know the drill already.

When I started the car for the first time, after replacing the starter, the starter spins and engages like normal, but the car does not start.

EXTEMELY FRUSTRATED, I came in and had a beer... PLEASE HELP.. I knew these cars are cranky, but I wanted at least a few weeks with nice weather to enjoy her!!

have you checked the basics, are you getting fuel and spark in there. I've never worked on one, but have disturbed anything when changing the starter.

Check the coil.
Also make sure that all leads going into the rotor cap are tight.

If this dosen't work, check to see if your fuel pump is sending fuel to the filter and carb.

Depending on how long the car was sitting try spraying choke cleaner in the carb for a nice cleaning.

The main thing obviously is spark, air and gas if you have all three, I'm stumped.
