Hey all,
Timing was set on my 1970 124 spider fiat with 1400 cc engine and it ran great
Yet after letting the car sit for an hour it wouldnt start up!
So I adjusted the timing to advance a little and it started right up?
This happens often now...any ideas? Why should I have to adjust the timing slightly every time I need to get the car started?

Rebuilt carb, rebuilt engine, ran fine up until recently when the weather got colder here

Thanks!

Do you have a smog pump on the car and is it working correctly? I have herd that they can cause the belt to slip and through the timing off. Also check your bolts are tight on the distributor when you need to readjust and that it is not loosening up causing your timing to be off.

thse cars are always spitting out problems! I dont know how you guys do it! Good on you! Im just content with the easy working 2003 punto! yikes!

good luck
